Our design packages can be as minimal as a simple logo design or as comprehensive as a full brand revamp. They are split up into two tiers based on logo type.
The minimal logo packages cover a logo composed of handlettering and/or type in a single color. The luxe logo design packages include both handlettering (if desired) and illustration, whether it's in the form of objects, watercolor washes, other graphic elements, or all three.

The Process
01. Consultation —
For packages I and II, you will fill out an in-depth questionnaire that will help me understand your business goals and gain me an understanding of the aesthetic and vision for your logo.
For packages III and IV, we will use moodboards and inspiration photos in addition to the questionnaire.
02. Preliminary Concepts —
I will dream up three (sometimes more) preliminary concepts and send you proofs. You will choose your favorite, and then we’ll refine it together to meet your vision.
03. Finalize Design —
After I complete any revisions you would like, you’ll receive all the digital files for your logo (and branding pieces if applicable).
04. Transfer of Rights —
The full legal transfer of ownership rights to the artwork applies only to the finalized design. The full transfer of the rights to the final logo gives you full-fledged freedom to use the design in whatever application, from business cards to advertising to printed materials, and so on. These rights never expire, and the only rights I retain are to use images of the work for personal purposes, like in my own portfolio or on social media.
05. Turnaround —
The turnaround times for each package are only an estimate. The design process can take anywhere from two weeks to longer than two months depending on the package you choose and the length of the revision process. How often and how quickly we communicate with each other throughout the process is also a key factor in how quickly I can get the final files to you.
06. Payment —
Payments can be made via PayPal, Venmo, or check. If you choose to pay via PayPal, I will send you an online invoice.
Several payment plans are available to provide financial flexibility. The default plan consists of a 50% initial, nonrefundable security deposit, and the remaining 50% must be paid before you receive the finalized files.
FAQs
01. What is a submark/secondary logo?
An abbreviated or simplified version of your logo. Usually includes the initials of the brand name (ex. for Ettie Kim, “EK”) but can also incorporate a graphic element extracted from a luxe logo.
02. What is a brand board?
An at-a-glance document containing all the visual elements of your brand, including your primary logo, submark/secondary logo, color palette, font name(s), & more. Please note that brand boards will include font pairings for your brand but do not include font files or licenses, which must be purchased separately.
03. What is a vector file?
Vector files are ideal for logos because they are infinitely scaleable, meaning they can be made as large or as small as you need it to be without compromising the quality or resolution of the image.
Raster files (jpegs, pngs) on the other hand, become pixelated when scaled past their original size.
04. How will we communicate during the design process?
Via email, so that we can have a record of our conversations to reference throughout the design process. I am happy to schedule phone calls when necessary.
05. What are "additional branding pieces"?
Examples of additional branding items include but are not limited to: business cards, correspondence stationery, thank you cards, postcards, sticker or tape design, and packaging design.
