Oahu | Hawaii Itinerary

Since we were flying into Oahu anyways, we decided to stay for a few days to explore the island. We were pretty jet lagged coming from Japan, so we took it easy. The majority of our time in Hawaii was spent on Maui and Kauai, itineraries for which I will also be sharing as separate blog posts.

WHAT WE DID

Makapu’u Lighthouse Hike aka Kaiwi Scenic Shoreline—

A paved, very reasonable hike, perfect for two jetlagged honeymooners. We woke up extra early to catch the sunrise. If you are coming during the day, please make sure to bring water and a hat as there is absolutely no shade along the hike.

I cannot recommend bringing a pair of water shoes and a sunhat with you to Hawaii. We got so much wear out of them throughout our trip, while snorkeling, exploring rocky coves, and hiking muddier terrains.
